Emergency Preparedness Week is an annual event that takes place every year during the first full week of May.  It encourages Canadians to be ready to cope on their own for at least the first 72 hours during an emergency crisis. This enables first responders to focus on those in urgent need.

For more information on how to get prepared, please visit the Emergency Preparedness section on our website, or go to Emergency Mangagement Ontario and GetPrepared.ca.
