    Product description

    This recall involves Nexxtech power banks.  The products are black or grey in colour and rectangular in shape. Some units have the Nexxtech logo on the front of the product.

    Power banks with the following UPC and model numbers are included in the recall:

    The model number for each product can be found on the packaging, in the instruction manual, and on the rating label printed on the back of the product. The UPC number can be found on the packaging of the product.

     

    Hazard identified

    The power bank’s battery can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.

    As of March 21, 2018, The Source (Bell) Electronics Inc. has received 4 reports of the product overheating, 2 of which resulted in property damage. The company has not received any reports of injuries related to the use of these products.
