    Boosted Model B2SR lithium ion battery pack

    Boosted Model B2SR lithium ion battery pack

    This recall involves the Boosted Model B2SR lithium ion battery pack sold as original equipment on 2nd Generation Boosted Dual+ electric skateboards. The user-replaceable battery pack consists of a black thermoplastic enclosure 10.5″ by 7.5″ by 2″ attached to the bottom of the board. The battery packs have an orange power button and the words Boosted Lithium imprinted on the battery pack. The boards have serial numbers that start with S2634 through S2644 located on a white sticker on the bottom of the boards.

    Electrical short-circuit of printed circuit board (PCB) may lead to battery pack smoking or melting.

    As of December 1st 2016, Boosted Inc. has received no report of consumer incidents or injuries in Canada.

    In the United States, Boosted Inc. has received two reports from consumers regarding smoke emanating from the battery packs of their boards. There was no report of flame, personal injury, or damage other than the two battery packs.
