Attached to the headphones that accompanied the micro-USB charging cord, was a label marked with a serial number. The affected lot of micro-USB charging cords are associated with headphones with the first 5 digits of the serial number being 60764xxxxxxxxx or 60776xxxxxxxxx.
Hazard Identified
The affected charging cables will never successfully charge the headphones and instead the charging cable may cause the headphones to overheat, posing a burn hazard.
As of June 14, 2019, the company has received 2 reports of headphones failing to charge and 1 report of a burn in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 1 report from a retailer of headphones failing to charge and the charging cables causing the headphones to overheat. No reports of injuries.
