    Rainbow® SRX® Vacuums Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

     

    Affected products

    Rexair LLC Rainbow® SRX®

     

    Product description

    The unit is a water-based filtration vacuum cleaner for household use.The model is Rainbow® SRX®, RHCS19 Type 120 identified on the rating label.The affected serial numbers range from 22003399 through 22077889. The serial number is located on the side of the unit underneath the white barcode.

     

     

    Hazard identified

    The circuit board can spark, posing a potential fire and burn hazard.

    As of May 25, 2020, the company has received one report of a SRX® unit catching fire in Canada. In the United States, the company has received one report of a SRX® unit catching fire.There have been no reports of injuries.

     

    Number sold

    Approximately 4,820 units of the affected product were sold in Canada and approximately 38,000 were sold in the United States.

     

    Time period sold

    The affected products were sold from June 2019 to April 2020.
