    Affected products

DAVIDs TEA Valentine’s Day stackable Mugs.

    Product description

This recall involves both models of Mugs in the Valentine’s Day collection. The affected Mugs are stackable, deep pink and dark blue Mugs.

    Hazard identified

An error occurred during the translation of the French version of the product’s labelling into English. The English version indicates that the Mugs are microwave safe, even if they are not. Mugs can produce sparks when placed in the microwave, which can cause a fire hazard.

As of April 17 2019, two incidents have been reported to the company. In both cases, sparks occurred when the cup was placed in the microwave. No injuries have been reported.
